Bohol Beach Club

Bohol Beach Club or BBC as it is more fondly called, is Bohol's oldest and largest (room count wise) resort. With 184 rooms and suites, 02 Lobbies, 03 Swimming pools, 03 restaurants, a dive shop, game hall, and tennis courts, this resort proves not to be shabby when compared to the newer resorts in Panglao Island, Bohol.
My room was courtesy of Mr. Allan Santos, a gruff looking yet very gentle and approachable Director of Sales of Tambuli Resort group (BBC is under the Tambuli Resorts group which also includes Cebu Beach Club and Tambuli Resort, both in Cebu and Blue Sky Sea Resort in Bohol).

Check in was a breeze at their simple and basic Front Desk.

This is one of my favorite spots in the resort. I get to walk this stretch everytime I have to go to my room. Very enchanting! although creepy too at night specially if you're walking alone

Directional signs abound in the resort so one does not get lost as the resort is on a big stretch of land.

The outside of my room at BBC. This is a Superior Room that includes a verandah. Although I never used this area, it is a nice venue for some light drinking and chatting at night.

The room is simply furnished...a theme that runs in the whole of the resort. Functional and adequate for a 3day vacation. sorry as I forgot to take a picture of the room before we messed it up
A dresser, mini-ref, TV and a cabinet complete the room. Wished the TV were bigger though...the resort being quiet at night, the TV was my companion and sleep inducer.

The toilet was basic but very clean.

One of the main coffee shops of the resort. They only serve buffet for breakfast unless the occupancy is very high, in which case, buffet may be available for lunch and dinner as well. Otherwise, one can order from the ala carte menu as the prices are reasonably priced.

A gift shop/corner near the Front Desk if you need to purchase any beach necessities such as snacks, extra shirt, sunblock, etc. A polo with the BBC logo is available for Php 580 (US$ 13)

One of the three pools at BBC. I didn't get a chance to take a dip as I forgot to bring along my swim gear. It did look inviting though...

The dive shop.

BBC offers its guests a complimentary Glass Bottom Boat ride for 20 minutes. If you're a marine enthusiasts, then this would suit you right. There are two schedules, one in the morning at 0930H and one in the afternoon at 1400H. I did enjoy the ride until the waves started getting a bit rough...add to this seeing the drop on the glass bottom and my inside voice was screaming for the boatman to bring me back to shore!
Below are some of the beach shots I took using an ordinary Canon Ixus digicam. No need for a SLR to get good shots if you ask me...
BBC boasts of a long stretch of white sand beach. Very relaxing as you watch the sunset and listen to the waves crashing along the shore. Hammocks are scattered along the beach to lull one to take a nap.

BBC may not offer the luxurious amenities other resorts offer but it definitely is comfortable enough. It is one of the most affordable resorts in Bohol, add to this, restaurant food is not exhorbitantly priced (although San Miguel Pilsen/Light will set you back Php80/US$ 1.77 a pop). Ideal for honeymooners, families with kids, a group of friends...basically its for everyone.
